The
Azores Archipelago is located approximately 1000 miles from Europe, and 2000 miles from North
America.
The international airports are located on the islands of Sao Miguel, and
Terceira.
Most international flights from North America
leave Boston or Toronto in the evening, and arrive into Sao Miguel.
Flights from Boston take approximately 4h 1/2, while flights from Toronto take approximately 5h 1/2.
From Sao Miguel,
another short flight will take us to Flores.
Travelers from Europe
will likely leave Lisbon and arrive into Sao Miguel or Terceira.
.......GETTING TO FLORES......
Because the Archipelago is a bit off the “beaten Path”… getting there is not as simple as getting to Chicago…
But take heart… there is an Airline dedicated to serving the AZORES…. It is SATA and it is based in the Azores. SATA has an international arm called SATA International….
SATA International makes regular flights from Lisbon for European travelers, and from Boston & Toronto, for North American travelers .
We are more than happy to arrange tickets for you.
